Hi Ruth
No The lsit doesnt differentiate. Only 14% of palm oil producted is produced sustainably and not all is being bought at this point in time. We rae putting pressure on companies to buy only CSPO and nothing else and will continue to do so. It's a critical issue. Please have a look at a page I share amdin on facebook called PALM OIL - Products on Australain Shelves which conatin palm oil. It has extensive information in the note section which helps one get their head around the whole issue as consisely as possible. xBev

In your 2010 list of companies who use Palm Oil, do you differentiate between Sustainable and Non Sustainable Palm Oil users? Because I see several "Natural" and "Sustainable" companies listed.

I say, STOP those countries from selling off their rain forests for deforestation!!! This campaign is like telling people to stop drinking water, because the planet is going dry! In the time it will take to get the world to stop buying Palm Oil, how much of the rain forests are being wiped out in a day/week/month. Stop the deforestation from the top!! Stop those governments from selling off the rain forest!! Force these companies to go sustainable!!

Do you send out little booklets that list all the different product names of palm oil, and all companies and foods that use palm oil, so i could keep in my bag.

Hi - fab website thank you. I am running a page on facebook and have shared your link on there regarding products with palm oil. If you start one which helps identify those who avoid palm oil that would be great to share too :) I'd like to thank you on behalf of those who can't say it for themselves :)

Hi Nadine
I am glad you understand the dire position palm oil production, paper pulp production, illegal logging and coal mining is putting the planet and all it contains in. The Borneo Project which I started with Glenn Alderson has been passed onto him and his partner Kerri Jones who now run this as I wanted to concentrate on other projects to help orangutans and other animals. He can be contacted via facebook page Ethikool Shopping. However there is no tree planting project that I know of that you can be part of. The best way to help is by raising money pure & simple. All the strategies in place and all the sanctuaries looking after rescued orangutans require money to help release them back to the wild. Our current project The Serling Mas Zoo Project is requiring funds to help get it off the ground. We are 55% there at the moment. but need to raise the other 45% by end of Jan 2013 to ensure this project goes ahead. Good luck with your goals and inspirations. bev

It came to my attention late of 2012 the dire need to protect the Borneo and Sumatra rainforests and to try to save many of it's species from imminent extinction as well as the destruction of our whole atmosphere due to carbon emissions from slashing and burning these forests. I was gladly made aware of this sad but true story thanks to National Geographic. The story literally brought tears to my eyes. I was appalled at how mankind could be so ignorant and evil. Not only are we killing off rare species we are ultimately killing off ourselves. I am not in a financial situation where upon I can donate very much myself but have made it my pledge and goal to help save these rainforests through some of the proposed ideas given on your site; such as approaching salons to sell your wares, holding charity functions/raffles and hopefully setting up something within alliance with yourselves or another organization such as "The Borneo Project" to raise funds for planting trees, helping spread awareness, building sanctuaries, ect- whatever needs to be done to help stop the raping and pillaging of these countries for our own relentless greed. I am starting to day by writing many large companies asking them to stop using palm oil. I have already boycotted palm oil from my diet and am slowly phasing it out of my beauty products as well (It's so bloody hard to get away from!!) I am continually shocked by the scale in which this product is used. I am also planning on raising enough money to come out with 'The Borneo Project' to plant trees later on this year and as I'm a photographer/writer I plan on documenting the experience and bringing it back to B.C. Canada to help continue spread awareness. I have some large hurdles to overcome and some very large goals in relation to this project and I can only hope that out of anything I have ever done in my life this may be the one thing I can make a difference in. Thank you for your website, all your information and pictures, I will share this all with everyone. They say it only takes one person to make a change in the world, I hope that I can make that change. Please let me know of anything else I can do to help with this including any hands on volunteer projects or other ideas.

Sincerely, Nadine Watkins

I'm happy that Jacky have a better life now. Last time I was there, I see many animals look thin and sad, some of them have a small cage. What do you think if I make a petition about the Lions, do you know the lion feeding attraction? I think they did not get enought food, so they want to catch the meat on the rope. I saw on TV that when the lions were fed as an attraction, they will scramble. It was as if he were very hungry. Its like an animal abuse... But I'm not sure are they still thin until now or are they now better... Do you know something? Next week maybe I will visit Bali Zoo and check it out! I want to see Jacky too! :)

Hi marisa
Thank yu for your message. Please do not make a petition about Jacky as we have already gone to Jacky's home and made it better for him. If you go to Bali Zoo now you will see he has more things to climb on and a healthy moat ecosystem, more enrichment and his keepers have been trained to give him better food. So he does not need a petition but thank you for your concern anyway. please look at Jacky's Friends facebook page anjd you will see what we builty for Jacky.
thanks Bev

Hi! I'm Marisa, 16 year old. Maybe next week I will make a petition on petition.org. Its about Jacky, I live in Bali and since long time Jacky was always in a small place and always alone... I'll give more info if I make the petition. Its a school project, so I'm not sure if I can do a petition about orangutan.
